Course Description:

The purpose of this course is for advancement in the Clinical Technician Ladder. Prior to enrolling in this course you must have your immediate supervisor's approval and meet the performance requirements on the ladder (see link below).

Prior to class:

This is a blended course, you must complete the online portion prior to your class. Access HealthStream and search in the catalog for VHC-Clinical Technician III: Core 2023. If you have difficulty accessing HealthStream please contact the HealthStream Administrator at extension #1063.Complete the online course and obtain the certificate. Bring the certificate with you to class. If you show up to the class without the certificate, you will not be allowed in the class and you will be charged a no show fee (see terms and conditions for more details). 

Working the night preceding or following this course will prohibit you from attending and you will be turned away at the door.

About the class:

Please arrive early and be in your seat at the start time of the class. You will not be allowed late entry. No "Drop In" students will be allowed, all students must be registered for the class. Children of attendees are not allowed. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be given a certificate of completion that you may upload into PEEPS. 

The Clinical Technician III Course is a hands-on learning experience. During the course you will come into close contact with others and be exposed to potentially sensitive topics related to human anatomy. You will also come into contact with bodily fluids and practice essential skills on partners, such as IV placement.

Terms and Conditions:

This class may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment, if this occurs, you will be given a minimum of 48 hours notice.

VHC Employees – Failure to attend or cancel 72 hours prior to the class will result in a cancellation fee of 75.00 dollars being deducted from your VHC paycheck.
